Our group has been working with the Microsoft Hololens to develop a Mixed Reality application that helps take the stress out of event planning
Using the Hololens technology, we created PlannAR, an application that helps event planners' ideas come to life. PlannAR uses the Hololens' spacial mapping to track the user's immediate environment and superimpose virtual images so they appear in real space.
PlannAR superimposes furniture and decoration assets to allow event planners to design any event space virtually. By eliminating the burden of having to rely solely on sketches of venues or physically adjust event spaces, PlannAR takes the stress out of planning.

The NMI is the largest and fastest growing certificate program at the University of Georgia. In order to stay up to date in the latest technology (so we can have access to devices like the HoloLens!) we require funding from generous alunmi and supporters like you! It was only through contributions to the NMI that PlannAR was possible.
For New Media Capstone, we were required to meet expectations and objectives for three different checkpoints. Below you can find all of our checkpoint work as well as our final deliverables and all media used in our project.
